Kitchen arena was in the unique situation of possessing two barbeques, thus a barbeque challenge was quickly ordered. Ironically, due to effete complaints of coal temperatures and conservation, the competitors were denied their individual grills and, rather, the grills were divided amongst dishes. One grill would cook tri-tip, the other salmon.

The competition took place on a mild afternoon in wonderful Belmont. Arena keeper JB kept a good eye on things.

Marinated meat and a mango salsa salmon dish. The food was excellent all the way around, from meat, to fish, to corn to salad to a particularly heavenly barbequed donut. After dinner was typically rowdy; I recall a full blown ninja-star war erupting.

We were all very impressed.
