The Romans had some very curious superstitions involving bird watching and animal butchery. I was probably thinking about how silly these superstitions were and how funny it would be to translate them to the modern world. There just happened to be raw hamburger in the refrigerator...

I've also always liked things like sentence generators andlike mad-libs, probably because user-generated stories share so much in common with games.
