This game is based on boolean logic. In a psychology class, I took a Raven's intelligence test; the test was entirely comprised of complete-the pattern questions. I did quite well, but later, when we were going over the test, the professor mentioned that all of the questions were based on logical relationships. I realized that, armed with this simple piece of information, I would have no problem getting them all right. In a way, the test was a kind of game and this stuck with me -the idea of using hidden logical relationships as the mechanics of a game, or at least an interesting puzzle.
The result of this musing, is magic fruit. There are 3 action buttons, each button triggers a reaction based on a simple logical relationship relating to the current state of the fruit. The system is self-referential, but the possible number of states are limited, thus reducing the possible complexity of solving it.
Magic Fruit is actually not that hard to power your way through. You won't get the quickest solution and you really won't challenge yourself much, but you may find it mildly entertaining to fight the system until you stumble on a solution. On the deeper level, its a rather complex puzzle, requiring careful trial and error and possibly some note-taking.
